FAQ

01. How do we book you for the wedding?
Once you've decided which package you'd like to go for, fill out the contact form with your wedding date and chosen package along with the location of your wedding. If I'm available I'll then send you a wedding agreement and invoice, you pay your deposit to secure the date and boom! You've booked your wedding photographer.
02. Do you travel for destination weddings?
Yes! While I'm based in the West Midlands, I'm happy to travel for your wedding day. We chat about how that looks alongside the packages I list on my website and create a bespoke quote to match your day and destination.
03. How do you handle family photos on the wedding day?
You'll send me your preferred shots list ahead of the wedding, and then I work through it quickly and painlessly. I always ask for you to assign a runner to help me on the day who can go grab people to speed the process along. Someone who knows all the important people and is proactive in getting people organised. Makes my job easier, and helps your guests and wedding party get back to the bar!
04. Do you offer engagement sessions?
Absolutely! It's such a wonderful way to get comfy with each other in front of the camera before your wedding day. You get to know my approach and how easy it can be, plus you get some bonus photos of the two of you as a couple enjoying that engagement bubble!
05. I want a family shoot but i'm worried my child won't sit still.
I'll never ask your child to sit still, we will capture them as they are, their beautiful personality shining through the movement and connection to you. During the shoot it's not your job to get your child to 'behave', simply have fun with them, play, cuddle, say yes and enjoy the moment. Those are the photos that you'll frame, the wide smile, belly laughs, whispered jokes.
If it means I'm running around your garden, or playing pooh sticks at the park or getting messy in your kitchen, I'm here for it. I'm a mum - I've been there. Zero judgement.
06. What should i wear for my family shoot?
Be comfy. You still need to be able to move freely with your child. I recommend curating a colour pallette for the family to wear, complementary tones rather than all wearing the exact same thing. Add different textures to add depth to your images.
I have a wardrobe inspo link I can send you and I'm always available for you to ping me a message with what you're thinking of wearing and I'll offer more guidance.
A styling guide is also available ahead of your shoot.
07. My house isn't how I want it to be, will it look awful in the photos?
Family life is hectic and messy. Do I expect your house to look like a showhome or these spotless instagram/pinterest houses? Heck no!
I welcome the chaos, it means your house is a home and lived in with tiny people's belongings all over the place.
All I need is one corner of space near a window if you'd like some 'clean aesthetic' images amongst the authentic life you live. Your bedroom or the sofa are perfect spots. Everyone can cosy up together, it's a small area for you to 'tidy' ahead of me arriving at your house. No stress. My house is exactly the same.
08. My partner hates having his photo taken
Probably my most common comment. It's fine, after 5 minutes he'll have totally relaxed into it. The key is not to focus on me, but to focus on you, the kids, the dog - whoever is on the shoot with you.
I keep things moving, there's no stiff posing. I might ask you to do some silly things like 'kissing with your teeth' or whispering daft things, but ultimately this isn't about me. It's about you, your story and I'm just there to help you tell it so that in years to come you look back and go. Wow. Look at us.
You'll remember the season of life you were in.
I promise you something, you'll never regret having the photos done, only the ones you didn't.
09. it looks like you're unavailable on the date i wanted to book our shoot
Always ping me a message with a date you had in mind if none of the available slots work for you. I can often find a work around and create a bit of wiggle room in my schedule for you.
